I went to Burning Man for the year 2000. I went for several reasons. Curiosity. The "Life-changing experience" that Baron promised me. The need to be part of something cool that I had heard so much about. I came back at least a little changed from the me who went. While I didn't participate as much as I had hoped, I definitely felt like more then a spectator. I didn't participate in any orgies. I didn't even take any drugs more interesting then alcohol. My costume was dwarfed in spectacle and grandeur by anyone who wore more then a polar fleece. My shade structure was a tent from REI. It was worth just about every minute. Highlights of the weekend:
I'll be there next year. Below are some of the photos I took. While I did remove some for bandwidth (and duplicate photo) reasons, none of the images themselves have been modifed in any way. Please respect my rights and do not copy these. While I cannot sell them (and probably wouldn't try) I am open to use of these images. Please ask first. |
